Summer Library Program (SLP) kicks off June 1 and runs through August 31, and it's open to everyone - from babies to adults.

This year, we’re making it easier than ever for all ages to join the fun with new, age-specific activity logs for:

• Babies & Toddlers

• School Age Children

• Tweens & Teens

• Adults

Each log includes a Summer Reading Bingo card packed with fun activities that encourage reading, learning, and creativity. Track your progress on paper or online with Beanstack- either way, you’ll earn prizes just for participating!

What you get when you sign up:

• A free book to keep (for everyone!)

• A TRL tote bag (one per family)

• An activity log with challenges just right for your age

   

What you get when you complete a bingo row:

• A second free book

• A completion certificate

• Bonus youth prizes, including tickets to Tacoma Rainiers games and the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (while supplies last)

Can’t make it to a branch? No problem! Our Anywhere Library vans bring books, events, and activities to communities all across our five counties—check the Anywhere Calendar to find a stop near you.

• Javoen Byrd– West African & African American drumming (June 3–13)

• Vanessa L. Torres – YA author talks & book chats (July 15–23)

• Ellie Peterson– Children’s author/illustrator interactive readings (July 15–Aug 15)

• Professor Universe– A space-themed science theater show (Aug 4–15)

Plus returning favorites like The Reptile Lady, Creature Teachers, Jeff Evans’ Reading Magic Show, and enTaiko Japanese Drumming!
